Following on from The Outer Worlds’ Peril on Gorgon DLC, Obsidian Entertainment will be dropping a second slate of story-focused content for its sci-fi RPG later this year. Titled Murder on Eridanos, there are currently very few story details surrounding the upcoming add-on, however, the team has recently unveiled a teaser that alludes to what the new content will entail.
Posted on the official Outer Worlds Twitter account, Obsidian has shared a brief 25-second clip that introduces Murder on Eridanos’ central setting, with the caption teasing more details will be coming tomorrow. The footage depicts a floating factory in the sky, with the location home to several futuristic structures and a towering building in the center sporting a logo reading “GC.”
After hovering around the facility, the teaser shows the Unreliable landing, hinting that The Outer Worlds’ central heroes will be venturing to this strange location. The brief clip seems to show fans their first look at Eridanos, which will be the main setting of the DLC. If it’s anything like Peril on Gorgon, it will boast new characters, armor, weapons, and quests, with the previous expansion taking around 6 hours to complete. It will also cost $14.99.
The Outer Worlds initially released back in 2019 to significant praise, with many lauding it as a spiritual successor to Obsidian’s work on Fallout: New Vegas. Peril on Gorgon provided a wealth of new content for fans almost a year later, seeing the Unreliable venture to an asteroid after receiving a cryptic distress call that results in an epic quest.
The Outer Worlds is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
