One of Apple Arcade’s exclusives is ready to make the leap onto new platforms, it seems. Sunday morning, publisher Microids Indie announced that it would be helping to bring Blazing Griffin Games’ adventure game Murder Mystery Machine to other platforms. While a final release date hasn’t been confirmed, Microids Indie says that Murder Mystery Machine will be launching soon on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
For those unfamiliar, Murder Mystery Machine is a series of story-driven murder mysteries for players to investigate and solve. Players take on the roles of District Crime Agency detectives Cassandra Clark and Nate Houston. Together they’ll investigate crime scenes, discover evidence, interrogate suspects, draw conclusions, and hopefully bring a culprit to justice.
Murder Mystery Machine has been released in an episodic format since it initially launched in late 2019. That means that players on new platforms will find seven total episodes ready to play when it launches, with the eighth episode well into development. The most recent episode, Hammer and Chain, was launched this past October. Episodes have typically been released every 2-3 months, but Blazing Griffin’s likely been hard at work on these new ports.
By releasing Murder Mystery Machine on new platforms, Blazing Griffin is hopeful that the murder mystery adventure game will reach new audiences that may not have been willing to try Apple Arcade. Those interested in Blazing Griffin’s work can also try the studio’s other games with stealth multiplayer games The Ship: Remastered and Murderous Pursuits.
Murder Mystery Machine is coming soon to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
